"We will address theses issues [of Internationalisation and international mobility] from a double perspective: a historical one, which will establish where we have come from and what we have already achieved. And a forward-looking one, which shall try to anticipate future developments in internationalization and mobility. Important sub-themes in the mobility area will be ‘mobility drivers’ and mobility policies and strategies, ‘mobility windows’, the role of mobility for the enhancement of employability, and Europe’s pet concept of ‘balanced mobility’. In the area of internationalization, we will focus on different forms of ‘internationalization at home’, such as English-medium programmes and intercultural education, amongst others. A special focus will be on the ethics of internationalization, where we are asking the question if and under which conditions can there be non-commercial internationalization, which would contribute to solutions to the world’s most pressing problems."
