The aim of the school is the introduction of basic concepts and tools for studying neurosensory and cognitive sciences via lectures of local and invited speakers. In the course of guided lab-tours through facilities of the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen participants learn about current techniques of neurosensory and cognitive sciences. Students are provided with up-to-date information about scientific career opportunities within diverse fields of neuroscience. The school is jointly organized by the Research Center Neurosensory Sciences of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, the University of Bremen and the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study, Delmenhorst. The school is designed to suit the interests of Ph.D. candidates within various fields of neurosciences such as neurobiology, neuropsychology, biophysics and medical physics. The application is open for candidates who have a qualified university degree (BSc, MSc, Diploma) or have passed the intermediate diploma examination.
