National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) - english information

The NCTQ has its origins in the 'Teacher Quality Initiative', a joint project of the 'Education Leaders Council' and the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation. NCTQ is a nonprofit organization devoted to the pursuit of teacher quality. It aims to provide up-to-the-minute information on what the various education policy options are, which may work well, which seem not to work at all. Information e.g. on reform of teacher education, evaluating and improving teacher performance, unconventional recruiting . Links to state initiatives and policies, to the weekly 'Teacher Quality Bulletin' (online available since 2000), to a peer-reviewed list of needed teacher quality research projects and a suggested reading list.
