Climate misinformation is becoming increasingly sophisticated, with artificial intelligence making it easier to create and adapt misleading narratives. Beyond spreading false information, misinformation can create confusion, deepen polarisation, and weaken trust in science, public institutions, and climate action. How can educators help learners navigate an increasingly complex information landscape?

This interactive Community Café will be exploring practical ways to recognise, understand and respond to climate misinformation. Participants wil discuss how misinformation spreads, why some narratives are designed to create confusion rather than simply spread falsehoods, and how educators can strengthen critical thinking and digital literacy in their own contexts.
