The Center for Research on Education and School Development (IFS) is pleased to invite you to come to Dortmund on July 11, 2019 for the five-year anniversary meeting of the Dortmund Symposium on Empirical Educational Research. This year, the focus is on systemic and individual factors contributing to educational (in)equity under the heading “Against the Odds – (In-)Equity in Education and Educational Systems”. We are glad to welcome renowned national and international experts to meet and exchange information on current research findings and debates within a discursive and interdisciplinary framework. The conference will be held in English. Alongside invited speakers, selected young researchers will be given an opportunity to present their work in the form of posters and short presentations. Government ministries and charitable foundations active in the field of education are also being invited.
