Anforderungen: | Scope of duties The Neurodevelopment and Social Interaction (NEVIA) Lab at LMU Munich is seeking a highly motivated Doctoral Candidate (PhD) to join our interdisciplinary team in a competitive position (TV-L) for a duration of up to 3 years (36 months). The (NEVIA) Lab is dedicated to advancing the use of portable biosensing tools for studying and improving mental health. The fully funded PhD position is part of a larger LMU-Cambridge partnership project (CCC Lab, PI: Prof. T. Bekinschtein) investigating the dynamic interrelationships between sleep, sensory sensitivity, and stress in adults with depression. The project follows a translational, personalized medicine approach using advanced digital tools for collecting objective and subjective biomarkers in a home-based setting. Your role will include: · Conducting and supporting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience, psychology, biological psychiatry, and portable technology · Supporting recruitment, data collection, data analysis, method development, and clinical collaborations · Applying and analyzing data from portable EEG, physiological wearables, EMA and related areas · Programming and designing a data platform for patients and clinicians · Developing and implementing advanced analytical approaches using programming and data science tools (e.g., Python, R) · Co-supervising Master’s and Bachelor’s students · Contributing to publications and grant applications to advance research in the field Our requirements · Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, Data Science, Engineering or related field · Good quantitative and programming skills (e.g., Python, R) · Prior experience conducting research studies in Psychology or Neuroscience required · Experience with portable technology, digital phenotyping, wearable sensors, and/or app programming beneficial · Interest in clinical and translational research · Ability to work closely with clinicians and psychiatric patients · Fluent in English, German language skills at B2 level or higher · Proactive mindset, independent problem-solving skills, ability to acquire new methodological skills as needed · Strong communication skills, especially for collaborative, interdisciplinary work Our offer · We offer a competitive, fully funded position for 36 months, aligned with German public sector pay scales, within an excellent research environment . · Flexible working arrangements are provided in a dynamic and supportive research setting. · The position includes opportunities for research visits at the partner lab at the University of Cambridge within the partnership scheme. · There is plenty of scope for developing your academic career through collaborations and interdisciplinary networking with Early Career Researchers at the German Centre for Mental Health (DZPG). · Remuneration is based on the Collective Agreement for the Public Sector of the Länder (TV-L) including all allowances customary in the public sector.
