"In this section you can find information on academic and professional mobility within the higher education sector in different regions of the world, based on the five UNESCO Regions.

Each UNESCO Region section contains details on: * Legal Framework: Information on the Regional Recognition Convention;
* Country List: List of the countries in the region. For each country, details on the official bodies in charge of higher education issues and their contact details;
* Resources: Other sources of information available online and tools created in each region for mobility and recognition purposes;
* Networks: Information on networks and associations of higher education institutions operating in each region.

In November 2019, the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education was adopted by the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference, becoming the first United Nations treaty on higher education with a global scope." [Abstract: Website editors' information]
