The homepage of the Iceland Ministry of Education provides links to full texts (publications of the Ministry concerning educational policy projects and programmes) and the education system and international exchange programmes, a link list of educational and cultural institutions and links to full texts of education legislation. The Ministry' s structure in general is as follows: The Permanent Secretary directs the Ministry under the Minister's ultimate authority. The Minister is assisted by the Adviser to the Minister and other advisors on specific projects. The Ministry is divided into three Departments and four Offices: Department of Education, Department of Science and Higher Education, Department of Cultural Affairs, Office of Information and Service, Office of Financial Affairs, Office of Legal Affairs and Office of Evaluation and Analysis. Directors direct the Offices and Departments.
