An introduction to Building Schools for the Future, 2008 [pdf] - english information
United Kingdom
"Building Schools for the Future (BSF) was the name given to the British government's investment programme in secondary school buildings in England [starting in 2005]. Around half of the work was procured under the private finance initiative. (...) The programme was cancelled in 2010" due to cost-cutting measures.
"This second edition Guide reflects the collaboration between
Partnerships for Schools (PfS) and 4ps, and is designed to improve understanding of BSF at a local level, so that those involved can engage all stakeholders and partners in
moving projects speedily forwards.
In particular, we hope that the Guide will
prove useful for: councillors, school staff, school governors, council officers, school trustees, key delivery partners, such as local Learning and Skills Council staff and Diocesan Boards.
The Guide is divided into topic-based sections, so that readers can use it alongside their BSF project as it develops."
