Unfortunately, the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA) only has a Facebook account as its web presence. Current news about events and similar topics are posted there. To see more than the first 2-3 posts, you need to have a Facebook account. The website of PACU (Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities), a member of COCOPEA, provides the following information about the history of COCOPEA: "1961: In collaboration with two other groups, the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) and Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (ACSCU), PACU founded the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA) as the umbrella organization of all private educational organizations in the Philippines. Later, two other groups joined forces with COCOPEA, namely, the Philippine Association of Private Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAPSCU) and the Association of Philippine Private Technology-based Institutions (APPTI). PACU President Pablo L. Meer sat as the first chair of COCOPEA." [Summary: Information provided by the editors of the PACU site, supplemented by the editors of Education Worldwide]
