Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) - english information
international; United States of America (USA)
The Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is one of the most well-known US organisations advocating for the right to homeschool. Founded in 1983, the organisation played a key role in the legalisation of homeschooling in the United States; it wasn't until 1992 that homeschooling was legalised in all 50 states. The organisation describes itself as Christian, but critics also classify it as right-wing conservative. It now has affiliates in various other countries around the world. The HSLDA website offers comprehensive information on homeschooling, including tips on implementation, the legal status of homeschooling (including an international perspective with a world map), financing, and many other questions.
