The International Association for Counselling (IAC) was created in 1966 as the "International Round Table for the Advancement of Counselling (IRTAC)". It provides a platform for communication for researchers and professionals in counselling and guidance. IAC awards certifications to education programmes and courses in counselling, organises an annual conference with roundtables on specific topics (the roundtables' topics are listed on the website) and IAC also publishes an annual conference report and an "International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling" (subject to a fee).
