The BQ portal provides information in order to assess foreign professional qualifications. The respective country profiles normally comprise information on five sectors of foreign VET systems: VET system itself, historical development, professional profiles, legal basis, additional information.
The portal was created in the course of a new law on the "Improvement of the Assessment and Accreditation of Foreign Training Qualifications" in April 2012. It is run by the German institutions in charge of the assessment and accreditaion mentioned.
