The Modern University of the Humanities in Russia is more than a common higher education institution. It is a network of more than 500 branches and teaching centres respectively in the Russian Federation and in the other CIS countries, even in Vietnam, Israel, China, Peru, and the Czech Republic. The MUH, founded in 1995 in Saint Petersburg, beginning with one branch provides via modern Information and Communication Techology via satellite high quality open and distance education for more than 170.000 students (as of January 2007). This website offers information on both the diversity of study courses and certificates to be obtained and also on the organisation and structure of the university reflecting the high quality aspirations of the university.
