Academic Network of European Disability experts (ANED) (2007-2019) - english information

Europe
ANED was launched by the European Commission in 2007 to support its Disability Unit in developing policies and guidelines. In 2019, ANED was wound down to form a new project, the European Disability Expertise (EDE). ANED aligned itself with the EU's goals of full participation and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. The website provided information on the status of political, social, and other frameworks for inclusion in individual EU countries. This information was drawn, among other sources, from the ANED database "DOTCOM – the Disability Online Tool of the Commission." The website also offered information on specific topics, as well as details of conferences and other organisations focused on disability and inclusion in Europe.
