Established in 2011 the National Independent School Alliance (NISA) promotes low-fee and budget private schools in India and the accessibility and affordability of quality education for economically weaker groups. Their web page informs about mission and activities, upcoming events like the Annual School Leaders Summit or the advantages of a membership. NISA represents more then 7,000 schools in 15 Indian states. Partners are e.g. the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the Indian Centre for Civil Society, an autonomous non-profit body for education and research.
