NAIRTL is financed by the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF) of the Higher Education Authority Irlands and is an initiative of several Irish universities. NAIRTL aims at enhancing and improving the interaction and integration of research, teaching and learning in Higher Education. Students are meant to participate in the process, too, in order to guarantee a better education for them. NAIRTL grants the annual "NAIRTL National Awards for Excellence in Teaching". You will find the following working groups at NAIRTL: Excellence in Teaching Awards, Public Engagement in Research, Supervisor Support, Bologna Process, Research Teaching Linkages. Furthermore, you will find information on initiatives concerning the topic, e.g. Desk Research Project, Continuing Academic Practice Education (CAPE), Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CASTL), National Student Survey Framework. Under "resources", you will find fulltexts of presentations, key lectures, studies and other media.
