Sweden

The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education is responsible for all matters concerning higher vocational education (HVE) throughout the country. The National Agency analyses the demand for qualified workforce in the labour market, decides which programmes are to be provided as higher vocational education and allocates public funding to education providers. It is also responsible for an extensive quality assurance program that aims to preserve and maintain high educational standards.
