Costa Rica
The National Accreditation System for Higher Education (SINAES) is an institution of the Costa Rican state entrusted with the objective to promote the constant improvement of the quality in the higher education sector of the country. The system has been adapted by governmental as well as private university and parauniversity higher education institutions, which obligated themselves in a voluntary formal act to uphold and to fulfil the prinicples of ethics, quality and academic excellency.
