The Psycho-Pedagogical Centre for Higher Education Investigation (CEPIES) was founded on Oktober 26th, 1988 by the internal congress of the Universidad de San Andrés (UMSA). It is a centre for teacher training which is subdued to the vice-rectorate and which has the task to improve the work of the teaching staff of higher education institutions.
