Cuba

The task of the Portal for Environmental Education in Cuba is the development of an environmental culture in the population. This goal is being achieved by the following functions: Promotion, control and evaluation of the implementation of the national strategy for environmental education (ENEA) on territorial and sectorial level, application of the national program of environmental distribution with emphasis on the development of campaigns which coincide with important dates of environmental protection (e.g. the 5th July, World Environment Day) and the development of environmental education projects, which are directed to different parts of the population.
