The National Agency for the Fight againt Illiteracy (ANLCI) was founded in October 2000. It works together with people which are able to fight or to prevent illiteracy on an institutional level. Its roll is to gather and to optimize the energies, activities and resources of those people, to make the efficiency of their efforts visible. As a group of public interest, ANLCI unites public as well as private partners and organises the division of labour in the frame of competencies and intervention areas. Furthermore it strives to orient the values which are evoked by a certain activity plan on a commun mission accepted by all of the participants. The ANLCI was generated out of the wish, that all of the contributors can take part of the decision making and can partake of a commune and cooperative activity.
