The task of the German Historical Institute Warsaw is the scientifical research of Polish history and the German-Polish relations in the European and International context. In this area, the institute conducts innovative fundamental research which focuses on Polish history in its European environment and the history of German-Polish relations in principle in its whole chronological and thematical depth. In concrete research practics, this happens in exemplary project research.
