The Academy, responsible for the whole fields of sciences and arts, concentrates on some main tasks which are the promotion and organization of scientific research and the encouragement of the application of the findings of this research, the development of artistic and cultural activities and the handling with Croatian cultural heritage and its affirmation throughout the world. Besides, it adopts a publishing function concerning the results of scientific research and artistic creation and it makes proposals and gives its opinion on the promotion of sciences and arts in the fields which are of special importance to the Republic of Croatia.
