The Schweizerische Institut für Kinder- und Jugendmedien (SIKJM) - the Swiss Institute for Child and Youth Media- is a merger of the Schweizerischen Bund für Jugendliteratur (SBJ) with the Schweizerischen Jugendbuch-Institut (SJI) that was founded in 2002, as part of the Johanna Spyri foundation. It receives support from the ministries of science, culture and education and aims to promote reading and to initiate research and documentation in the area of child and youth literature.
