Austria
The national agency for lifelong learning in general and vocational education has been active since 1995 as a partner for initiating and promoting projects within the EU funding programmes for education. The organisation that was in charge of the national agencies for Leonardo da Vinci and Sokrates has also been commissioned as national agency for the new EU programme of lifelong learning. Since 1997, the agency integrates the EUROGUIDANCE centre for Austria (network contact point for the EUROGUIDANCE network for general and vocational education information and counselling) and now also the Austrian Europass Centre (NEC Österreich). Its Services include: Information and counselling regarding possibilities for taking part in the programme, individual counselling and support in submitting proposals, accompanying the Austrian projects, support regarding the search for project partners at home and abroad, networking, documentation of projects and project findings, seminars, workshops etc..
