The EVBB (Reg. Ass.) is a European umbrella association of independent and non-profit vocational training institutes. Its aim is the qualitative improvement of vocational training in European countries and an intensification of European training efforts. Detailed aims are: to enhance the competitive strength of training institutes and promote the further qualification of their staff; to encourage and support transnational vocational training schemes, as well as the exchange of information and expertise; to promo te increased efficiency in the fields of vocational training and further education in order to keep them aligned with developments in the job market. Thirty-four vocational training institutes from eighteen European countries are currently organised in the EVBB. On its homepage the association provides informa tion on its organisation, statutory tasks/key working areas and members as well as reports on its annual and other working conferences and its publications.
