The bilingual Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE/SCÉÉ) was founded in 1972 and is the largest organisation of professors, students, researchers and practitioners in education in Canada. CSSE is the major national voice for those who create educational knowledge, prepare teachers and educational leaders, and apply research in the schools, classrooms and institutions of Canada. CSSE/SCÉÉ is an umbrella organisation for several national constituent associations in the field of education. It organises an annual conference and publishes the "Canadian Journal of Education" which is available in Open Access starting in 1991.
