The agency of study allowance is a federal agency, subordinated to the federal ministry of education, science and culture. It is a public service agency, that fulfills information, counselling and financing duties for students in the tertiary education sector. The rubric ´Studienförderung´ informs who has a claim for support and how much one has to expect; moreover other supporting options apart from the regular ´Studienförderung´ are pointed out. The site offers also: a list of the altogether six nationwide service points for grants, including a directions and essential information about each location; a self- image of the agency; actual announcements; a download area for official forms; and a comprehensive list of links to agencies, student associations, universities and polytechnics.
