India
The organisation was founded in 1985 with the aim of offering high quality higher education to a broad spectre of people particularly in remote areas. It has meanwhile established a comprehensive network of programmes and sub-divisions all over the country. The homepage provides numerous links relating to the Ministry of Human Resources, the Distance Education Council, academic programmes and ( electronic) publications as well as a "virtual campus".
