"DAAD" stands for "Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst", also known as German Academic Exchange Service. DAAD is a joint organization of German institutions of higher education and student bodies. Their aim is to promote academic cooperation worldwide, especially through the exchange of students, scholars, academics, and scientists. The homepage provides links for South Asian students interested in internships, program funding or studying in Germany as well as links to information for Germans who are interested in studying and research in South Asia (including information on application, admission, costs, scholarships, recognition of diploma, and a link list with the universities of the country).
