The Commission is the highest governing body in the Philippines for higher education institutions and their study programmes. It is responsible for ensuring the quality of higher education institutions and taking appropriate measures to enable access to education for all. The website provides information on publications, official documents, scholarships and research funding, a list of higher education institutions, recognition and comparability of degrees, news, events and statistics.
In addition to the CHED, there are two other governing bodies in the Philippine education sector: the Department of Education which is in charge of basic education and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for technical and vocational education and secondary education.
