The Spanish educational inspection was created in order to guarantee a common management and administration of the education system and education policy in the State and the "Autonomous Communities" - the competencies and rights of these are laid down in the Constitution from 1978. The Inspectorate ensures that educational law with all prescriptions and contents is executed in the whole country.
