PISA is developing a series of thematic reports that will examine the implications of the results from PISA 2000 in a series of policy-relevant areas. Currently, thematic reports are planned in the following areas: social background and student performance; analyses of the nature, development and impact of literacy skills; foundations of lifeflong learning; the role of engagement and motivation; school factors related to quality and equity.
