Founded in 1969, FAEA is an umbrella organisation for liberal adult education in Finland. Its member organisations are the Association of Adult Education Centres, the Finnish Folk High School Association, eleven liberal organisations working in the field of adult education which maintain Finland's eleven study circle centres, the KVS foundation and the Swedish-speaking organisation 'Svenska Folkskolans Vänner'.
