The Childcare Resource and Research Unit (CRRU) is a policy and research oriented facility that focuses on early childhood education and child care (ECEC) and family policy in Canada and internationally. It has been developed and staffed by individuals with diverse backgrounds including early childhood education, psychology, library sciences, political science, women´s studies, sociology, labour unions and the arts. The Childcare Resource and Research Unit was established to provide public education, resources and consultation on ECEC policy and research, to foster and support research in various fields focusing on ECEC, to carry out relevant research projects and publish the results and to support, promote and provide communication on ECEC policy and research.
