The STINT Foundation was established in 1994 by the government. The mandate is to support the internationalisation of Swedish research and higher education and has two main components: to enhance the quality of Swedish research and higher education and to advance Sweden´s relations with other nations, culturally, economically and scientifically. The homepage links to information about STINT, scholarships and grants, EU framework programmes, The Swedish School of Advanced Asia Pacific Studies and information on PhD studies abroad.
