This is the Statistical Yearbooks of the Statistical Centre of Iran. There you can find the chapter "education" for each year respectively. It provides ample imformation on education and research in Iran, starting in 2009.
The Statistical Centre's website also has a section "topic: education & research". But this section is rather empty and not updated. [Abstract: Editors of Education Worldwide]
