ONEC is responsible for policy making and planning of education at all levels and types. Its major task is to consider and propose to the Cabinet the National Education Scheme, the National Education Development Plan, the policy guidelines and recommendations for educational development. It is also responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of educational development plans. The homepage provides links to extensive downloadable texts about education in Thailand, educational reform and policy, educational statistics, the education law and publications.
