ADEA has sponsored research involving the discovery of present and potential dynamics of the new generation of non-formal education activities emerging in Africa. More specifically, researchers have examined in relation to non-formal education: the activities sponsored by new actors, new relationships to formal education, and new needs for local direction of socio-economic life and for democratic participation.
