Réseau Canopé - english information
France
The Réseau Canopé (Canopé Network) "is under the authority of the French Ministry of Education and is responsible for the continuing education of teachers and other stakeholders in the education sector". Its predecessor was the Centre National de Documentation Pédagogique (CNDP) (National Centre for Educational Documentation). The network has a whole series of sub-portals, each of which addresses specific target groups, topics or needs. At the heart of the portal are the so-called ‘ateliers’ (digital or on-site), where teachers can continue their education on a wide variety of topics, either independently or under guidance. The portal also offers teaching materials, ideas for lesson planning, collaborative tools and much more. The portal went online in the early 2000s under the name Scéren.
