HETAC is the qualifications awarding body for third-level educational and training institutions outside the university sector. It is the legal successor to the National Council for Educational Awards (NCEA). On the website information can be obtained about the setting of standards for higher education and training awards, the validation of higher education and training programmes, programme information, policies and procedures, consultation documents and a comprehensive linklist of institutions in the third-level sector.
