Israel

Amal is a network of more than 128 educational institutions engaged in the advancement of comprehensive and technological education for youth and adults. Located throughout Israel, Amal's approximately 50 schools can be found in Jewish, Druze, Bedouin and Arab communities. The establishment of Amalnet, a computerized communications network encompassing Amal schools, students, teachers, the Pedagogical Technological Center, and eventually other schools in Israel and abroad, is expected to significantly raise the quality of teaching and learning in Israel. Amal was founded in 1928 by Israel’s Labor Federation (The Histadrut).
