On 11 March 2011, the Secretary of State for Education announced the details of a Review of Teachers’ Standards. The first report of the Review was published on 14 July 2011 and ministers have accepted the Review´s recommendations for a new set of standards, which will set the minimum requirements for teachers´ practice and conduct. This section contains information about the Review, including links to key documents such as the new standards for teachers, the Review´s terms of reference, and reports, as well as information about the Teachers´ Standards Review Group and frequently asked questions and answers.
