On 11 March 2011, the Secretary of State for Education announced the details of a Review of Teachers’ Standards. The first report of the Review was published on 14 July 2011 and ministers have accepted the Review´s recommendations for a new set of standards, which will set the minimum requirements for teachers´ practice and conduct.
