The portal Colombia Aprende is an access and meeting point of the Colombian education community with qualitative contents and services which contribute to the maintenance of equity and to the improvement of education in the country. The portal was created on May 24th, 2004 and takes part in the project `New Technologies` of the National Ministry of Education, furthermore, it currently (Stand: Octobore 2011) presides the Red Latinoamericana de Portales Educativos (RELPE) and is considered one of the trhee largest portals of Latin-America and the Caribbean by the UNESCO.
