Regional Conference of Western Universities - english information

The Regional Conference of Western Universities (CRUO) consists of the following members: Responsible persons of higher education and research institutions which carry out relevant research for the Ministry for Higher Education and Scientifical Research, the representative of the general director of the national bureau for university work and the secretary of the CRUO. The tasks of CRUO are to participate in the dialogue about the development of the higher education sector, to foster regional inter-university cooperation and to give advice on law and reglementation propositions related to the pedagogical and administrative situation. Furthermore, it acts as counselling organ with regard to the opening, closing or regrouping of educational institutes, establishes leadership capacities in pedagogics and research and tries to foster every action taken for the sake of the development of formation regarding the opening of universities to the labour market.
