Austria

The FORUM environmental education is an agency of innovation and projects of the austrian federal ministry of education and the ministry of agriculture. The FORUM aims at education in sustainable development for the primary target groups inside the community of teachers and for the multipliers in adult education and the (continuing) education of teachers as well as at universities and technical colleges. The topics of the FORUM comprise energy and climate protection, agriculture and nutrition, mobility and traffic, ressources and nature protection, and the local agenda 21. Suitable methods for learning processes in environmental education are as well documented as paradigm projects to the topic of sustainable development. Furthermore the FORUM´s fields of action are presented: ecologizing of schools, teacher´s training and the idea of sustainable university and moreover there is a comprehensive dossier to the topic of sustainability with linklist and bibliography, an archive of articles, and event notes. A list of publications of the FORUM and a service area with newsletter, an event agenda, links, downloads and finally a list of addresses complete the website.
