During the period 1996-2001 a pilot project in the field of advanced vocational education was carried out in Sweden and was integrated into the regular education system in 2002. Kvalificerad Yrkesutbildning (KY) is a new form of post-secondary education that focuses on the application of theoretical knowledge at the workplace. It is a post-secondary educational programme at higher education institutions in close cooperation with the industry. The website offers a database of courses.
