ALG is a free one-stop-shop for information on more than 5,400 Australian libraries, their collections and services. The Gateway has been developed on behalf of the Australian library community by the National Library of Australia and received initial funding as part of Australia's Cultural Network (ACN). On the website, guides to information retrieval with a special page for researchers as well as a search engine for libraries and online access to databases and collections are provided.
