CFNN was established in 1996. Its mission is to promote quality charter schools by connecting and supporting resource centers, charter school associations and other state-level charter support organizations and activities. Research, publications, online communications, a grant program, and multi-state initiatives on high priority issues of common concern to charter schools nationally are carried out. The website informs about those initatives, education policy and the networks. A monthly Netwourk Publication is available and archivated (HTML-format), access to a state directory of Amreican charter schools, several statements to education policy (HTML-format) and an event calendar.
